Faceting is the arrangement of search results based on indexed terms. This provides a way to list attributes for navigation allowing searchers to directly hone in on the most relevant results.
Let's explore facets and how to use them to ensure faster, smarter search results!
 
Goal: After taking this course, you will be able to understand how faceting allows the exact result that fits the user’s criteria and goals to be surfaced, and how to configure facets yourself.
 
Course Objectives:
  • Explore the basic parameters that can be used to trigger faceting.
  • Use pivoting to sort, count, total or average data stored in a table.
  • Configure a field facet in the Fusion UI.

Before starting this course

Prerequisites: Advanced Query Tools eLearning
What you should know: You should be able to recall how query pipelines operate from the Fusion Foundations series. You should be familiar with the concept of how to tune the relevancy of queries from the Advanced Query Tools eLearning, as we will be expanding on that concept by demonstrating how to tune relevancy by defining facets.
Duration: ~30 minutes
