About this course

Queries are a huge part of search-- they are how users interact with the data. Since this is also the part we have the least control over, as we have no idea how or what users will query, it's imperative that we do everything in our power to help the users find the most relevant results.

Let's take a look into how we can use advanced query tools to refine search results!!

Goal: After taking this course, you will be able to utilize advanced query tools to improve search relevance and the user experience.

Course Objectives:

  • Select the correct query parser.
  • Manipulate relevancy using function queries.
  • Define facets to enhance search results.

Before starting this course

Prerequisites: Fusion Foundations Learning Path
What you should know: You should be able to recall how querying works, as well as how query profiles and pipelines operate, from the Fusion Foundations series. We will be expanding on those concepts to show how you can really tune the relevancy of queries. You can review the Fusion Architecture eLearning as a reminder of the concepts mentioned above.
