About this course

Are you ready to take your understanding of Fusion’s machine-learning capabilities to the next level? Fusion Smart Answers brings the benefits of a versatile, scalable Semantic Search platform to provide cutting-edge relevancy for your applications. Semantically rich models encode queries and documents into vectors in the same digital vector space in such a way that the query and the most relevant information are located near each other. It pushes search boundaries beyond classical token-based matching mechanisms by leveraging contextual information and query understanding.

Goal: Fusion users will be able to manage and utilize Smart Answers to enable self-service search and improve relevancy.

Course Objectives:

  • Determine the right model to train and assemble the parameters needed.
  • Configure index and query pipelines to support Smart Answers and evaluate the Smart Answers query pipeline.
  • Determine the value of the job status and output.
  • Connect Smart Answers to a voice-assisted interface application.
  • Identify best practices and use cases for implementing Smart Answers.

Before starting this course

Prerequisites: Private/Public Training: Practical Data Science with Fusion AI. If you are not familiar with Smart Answers, please read this short article introducing Smart Answers. Additionally, please watch this video on Smart Answers.  
What you should know: Experience with Fusion’s pipelines and machine learning jobs is necessary in order to be successful in this course. If you are brand new to Fusion or are unfamiliar with its basic components, take our Fusion Architecture eLearning first prior to completing this course.
Duration: ~90 minutes
